We have kittens

A very warm welcome to my new website. I am Faith Gillick and live with my wonderful Husband Brian and our beloved cats in Barnsley.

I started out breeding Persians almost 20 years ago and then later I had some wonderful Devon Rex come and join my furry crew. I bred and showed under the Shangari prefix with both breeds within the GCCF. Back in the 80’s I saw a cat magazine with an article of Jan Plumb holding what I would describe as the most amazing looking cat I had ever seen. This cat was Tulip, the first Sphynx to be brought here into the Country. After seeing Tulip I couldn’t get her out of my head and so contacted Jan herself to ask more about the breed and to see if I could ever have one of my own. Well after 3 years of friendship with Jan my dreams all came true in the form of Shaired Diamond Lil aka Breeze. Breeze was my first Sphynx and she had some lovely babies in her time, one of which was Shangari Had-U-Fooled aka Meatloaf. Meatloaf was actually the youngest Sphynx to achieve the title of FIFe Champion at the tender age of 11 months!! Later came my girls Precious and Rainbow and recently the newest addition to the Shangari household (more to follow). I still have a couple of my older Persians and a devon living with me as pets and they all get along just wonderfully as well as our dog Hobo who the cats just love and kittens seem to use as a climbing frame.

Here at Shangari Sphynx we breed according to type and pedigree and try to progress with each mating. We do occasionally have kittens for the right forever homes and we would love to hear from you if you think this could be you.
